QUASI TRIO & JUSTIN SVOBODA
We are launching a new project in collaboration with actor, host, and storyteller Justin Svoboda (www.justin-svoboda.cz).
We are crafting a unique concept where word and music intertwine to speak directly to you.
ABOUT US
We are a chamber ensemble characterized by the unconventional combination of clarinet, cello and piano. This allows us to discover and present to our listeners less-known but fascinating masterpieces as well as to collaborate closely with contemporary Czech composers.
Our journey together took us through Prague's HAMU to prestigious internships in Paris (with the Wanderer Trio) and Vienna (with Johannes Meissl, Avedis Kouyoumdjian and others), where we gained valuable inspiration for our interpretation. Although we are pleased with awards from international competitions and experience from European stages, such as the Austrian ORF radio station or the Santa Croce in Florence, we are most happy to be able to share music with our home audience.
In addition to working in a trio, we perform as soloists or players in leading Czech orchestras (National Theatre, PKF – Prague Philharmonia) and are engaged in pedagogical activities. We believe that these diverse experiences enrich our common sound and help us approach the repertoire from classicism to the present with sincerity and respect.
